What are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly skilled and ambitious Histologist. This is a hands-on role, supporting with the processing, sectioning and staining of in vivo tissues, working with the team to plan histological components of in vivo studies to take tissues through to the production of high-quality histology slides.

At Mogrify, you will:
- Contribute to high-level scientific research by conducting a range of histological techniques to a high standard to support in vivo projects
- Coordinating the histological laboratory work, including maintaining histologic manuals, organising own workload, recommending and developing histological techniques
- Perform troubleshooting of histology experiments, including learning new techniques
- Support wider project teams under the direction of a project manager, complete assigned tasks in an efficient and precise manner
- Provide technical training in specific techniques and technologies to the wider team
- Contribute ideas and solutions that improve the way we work
Candidate profile:
- A degree in Medical/ Biological Sciences, Biotechnology or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in general laboratory duties
- Extensive experience using histological techniques, including but not limited to microdissection, tissue fixation, cryostat sectioning, standard histological tissue staining techniques
- Experience with basic molecular biology techniques would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload in order to meet deadlines
- Highly resourceful team player who is self-motivated with positive thinking “can-do” attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
