The 2020 UK Natural Killer Cells Workshop will be held at Birkbeck, University of London on Friday 10 January 2020 and is held in collaboration with the BSI London Immunology Group.
This one-day workshop is one of the highlights in the calendar of UK experts in Natural Killer (NK) cells. The meeting consists solely of oral presentations and discussion of recent work by UK researchers. We particularly encourage doctoral students and early postdocs to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to present their work to an external audience, in a collegiate and friendly atmosphere. The presentations will be followed by a networking reception.
Progress in NK cell research and clinical application have taken advantage of recent technological advances in gene expression, epigenetics and tissue localization and function. The main learning objective is to update attendees on the latest developments in NK cell research and clinical applications, including in oncology and infectious diseases.
The Scientific Advisory Committee (led this year by Dr. Martin Goodier at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) will organize a program to feature up to 20 speakers from an estimated 100 participants and all attendees will engage in discussions during allotted question times and at breaks.
